Hurrah! The tAPI for Terraria 1.2.4.1 is finally out, so we look forward to new mods and reworked old ones!
The long-awaited mod loader for Terraria, which is, so to speak, the successor to tConfig, which has not been updated to version 1.2.Unfortunately, it only works with the licensed version of Terraria, as it requires Terraria Game Launcher to install.
Game Launcher is put on pirates, but only on non-Russified ones! Read more in the Game Launcher description.
For those who, for some reason, cannot install on pirate (although everything is clearly spelled out in the instructions), here you can download the latest version of the game with Game Launcher installed and the latest version of tAPI.
Let's hope tAPI breathes new life into our favorite game!

Note: tAPI will not be able to work with character files from the original game.
UPDATE: regarding tAPI release on Terraria 1.3 “Here you can read what the tAPI developers write about the continuation of development. Most likely, there may be no modding for 1.3 and you will have to be content with 1.2.4.1. If the developers make official support for the mods, it will be like in Starbound and the need for tAPI will disappear. "
Installation:
1) Install Terraria Game Launcher;
2) Install tAPI (r15) - r15.exe
Now we are waiting for the mods updated for tAPI!
For mods made under version 1.2.2, install tAPI r10 - r10.exe
